02/07/08 BIG SHOT PICTURES SPOTS FOR NUTRISYSTEMS

Portland, Oregon – Big Shot Pictures has produced a series of star-studded TV ads for long-time client NutriSystem featuring actress Tori Spelling, Marie Osmond and comedian Larry the Cable Guy for NutriSystem’s new advanced program. Each celebrity has a slightly different creative and all are shown talking about their weight loss experiences. The 30-second, 60-second and two-minute direct response ads are currently airing nationwide.

Tori Spelling, a new mom, has to deal with the challenges of transitioning from a busy mom on the go to a glamorous actress using a split screen technique.  Glam Tori talks to mom Tori about losing weight and keeping fit.

Marie Osmond, on the heels of a major comeback since her appearance on Dancing with the Stars, is featured with her off beat sense of humor. She has taken more control of her life, her weight and her appearance.

Finally, comedian Larry the Cable Guy, best known for “Git-R-Done” delivers his blue collar monologue in a bowling alley. He’s paired with football legend Dan Marino as the straight man.

“There’s been a huge buzz about weight loss among celebrities and it all started about a year ago,” said Jim Walter, president, Big Shot Pictures. “We’re pleased to be on board with NutriSystem and continuing our support for the brand.”

Since 1980, the backbone of NutriSystem is its ease and convenience, portion control, calorie control and balanced nutrition. Over the last 3-5 years, NutriSystem has introduced several new programs and has continued to lead the industry through innovation and service.

“NutriSystem Advanced is simply the best weight loss program we have ever created. We’ve chosen Tori, Marie, Larry and Dan as celebrity spokespeople because they know the challenges of losing weight while maintaining their image in public,” said NutriSystem president Tom Connerty. “The Advanced Program features 68 new foods and 7 new meal plans (women’s favorites, men’s favorites, diabetic woman’s, diabetic men’s, silver women’s, silver men’s, and vegetarians for men and women) plus a new behavior modification program and exercise DVDs.”

Big Shot Pictures is a multi-disciplined film and video production company offering traditional advertising, film and television content, DRTV, and corporate film and video. For more information, visit www.bigshotpictures.com.

About Us:

PAF Celebrating 100 year of setting the standard for the Creative, Design, and Media Community!

You'd think New York or San Francisco, not Portland, was this country's first club of that kind. In 1906, a group of business and professional leaders put their heads together to form an ad club, establishing Portland as a leader in the creative business community. 100 years, at least 76 presidents, and three name changes later, the Portland Advertising Federation, now known as the PAF, is one of the strongest ad clubs in the country.

Coming into the 21st century, PAF is focusing on its program activity and benefits on explicit member disciplines. PAF programs run throughout the year and have been instrumental in bringing some of the most exciting and innovative thinkers in the business to our region. To name a few: John F. Kennedy, JR. Malcolm Gladwell, author of The Tipping Point Chris Riley, Head of Planning, Graphic Design Group, Apple Computer, Inc. Jameel Spence, President of New York-based Blue Flame Marketing & Advertising. Neal Stewart, Brand Manager of Pabst Blue Ribbon. Andrew Keller, CB+P, Group Creative Director on MINI. Kevin Carroll, brand evangelist and ESPN show host. John Butler, principal at Butler Shine Stern & Partners, author of Converse Brand Democracy. Joey Carson, CEO of reality television pioneers Buni-Murray Productions.

PAF is member inclusive, including all disciplines in communication arts: advertising agencies, media partners (radio, TV, and print), interactive communication, and client-side marketing professionals. Each Executive Director and each Board of Directors makes their mark on the progress and future of PAF. Current Executive Director Jamie Sexton is working with the Board and Executive Committee on an aggressive marketing approach for PAF that includes re-branding, value-driven educational programs, new member development, and outreach to the member community.

As the history of PAF is updated each year, a constant appears to be the club’s willingness to change with the times. Who knows what the next 100 years will bring?
